Petit St. Vincent Resort Announces GM and Exec Asst Manager
July 14, 2011 - Petit St. Vincent, the 115-acre private island luxury retreat in the Grenadine island chain in the Caribbean, has appointed Matthew Semark as General Manger of the 22-cottage unplugged hideaway and Anie Ardiani as the Executive Assistant Manager, both effective August 1, 2011.
Matthew and Anie (who also happen to be married) join Petit St. Vincent at a crucial and exciting time: the private island was purchased in November 2010 by Freedom Resorts Ltd. business partners Phil Stephenson and Robin Paterson, and is currently undergoing a major renovation and refurbishment project which will be complete in November 2011. Petit St. Vincent is the only property owned or managed by Freedom Resorts.
Matthew was most recently the General Manager at the Karma Jimbaran Resort in Bali, Indonesia from May 2010 until July 2011, and before that was the General Manager at Fundu Lagoon Resort on Pemba Island in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Anie comes to Petit St. Vincent after serving as the Director of Rooms at The Bale Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali, and previously as the Assistant Manager at the Fundu Lagoon Resort in Zanzibar.
Matthew and Anie will be responsible for leading the Petit St. Vincent team into a new chapter in the resort's history. Developed sustainably since 1968, Petit St. Vincent achieved one of the highest repeat-guest rates in the industry. The current renovations, additions and improvements to the island, as well as the enhanced level of service will ensure it continues to be known as one of the world's most exceptional private island experiences.
Current regular rates start at $1,050 per night, per couple on a full board basis. To book visit www.psvresort.com or call 800-654-9326.
