NEW ORLEANS, LA - July 15, 2011 - The grand opening of Irvin Mayfield's I Club (www.iclubneworleans.com), the latest music venture from the Grammy Award and Billboard Award-winning trumpeter, composer, arranger, UNO professor and businessman, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, 2011. The I Club, located in the former Henri restaurant space in the luxurious JW Marriott Hotel at 614 Canal Street, will feature four consecutive days of exciting grand opening events beginning Wednesday, July 27 with an invitation only party, followed by three days of grand opening entertainment (Thursday, July 28 - Saturday, July 30) that is open to the public.

Irvin Mayfield's I Club grand opening schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, July 27 at 8 p.m. - A Grand Opening Night Party (by invitation only)
  featuring Mia Borders and Davell Crawford

• Thursday, July 28 at 8 p.m. - Los Hombres Calientes feat. Irvin Mayfield & Bill Summers
  with special guest Rockin' Dopsie

• Friday, July 29 at 8 p.m. - Los Hombres Calientes feat. Irvin Mayfield & Bill Summers

• Saturday, July 30 at 8 p.m. - Los Hombres Calientes feat. Irvin Mayfield & Bill Summers

Other incredible musicians scheduled to perform at the I Club in the coming months include: Cajun/Zydeco-inspired sweetheart, Amanda Shaw; Cyril Neville of Neville Brothers fame; modern troubadours such as Kristin Diable and Mia Borders; and Irvin Mayfield's own, Los Hombres Calientes, who will offer weekend performances of blazing hot, Afro-Cuban rhythms.

The I Club will present a diverse musical format while Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse in the Royal Sonesta Hotel on Bourbon Street continues to offer the best in Jazz performances. The two Mayfield clubs will provide music lovers with decidedly unique musical experiences on both sides of world-famous Canal Street. Locals and visitors to the I Club will experience New Orleans and Louisiana music in a downtown luxury setting. Locals will be able to drive up, valet-park, and step into an incredibly luxurious world of music, fine dining and fun. Visitors will experience authentic New Orleans music in one the most elegant hotels in the City of New Orleans. Irvin Mayfield's I Club is also introducing an “Inner Circle” membership program that will provide numerous VIP perks such as concierge services, priority access, special offers and select JW Marriott benefits.

Irvin Mayfield's I Club will feature live music Wednesdays - Saturdays starting at 8 p.m. It will offer exquisite cocktails, fine-dining small plates prepared by JW Marriott's Executive Chef, Lou Sander, and of course, stellar service for the discerning guest.
