Vision Hospitality Appoints Andrew Brogdon AGM Hilton Garden Inn in Chattanooga
Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 19, 2011 - Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of Andrew Brogdon to Assistant General Manager for the Hilton Garden Inn Chattanooga Downtown. Andrew joined Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. three and a half years ago, as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Hilton Garden Inn Chattanooga Downtown. His knowledge and skill resulted in a promotion to Area Director of Food & Beverage where he assisted all properties with their food & beverage operations and many new hotel openings. Promoted quickly to Corporate Director of Food & Beverage, Brogdon has been instrumental in streamlining the organization of the Food & Beverage departments for all of VISION's hotels. Andrew has long considered a transition into operations hoping to expand his overall knowledge of the hospitality industry beyond Food & Beverage. This opening presented the perfect opportunity to make his transition, as he initially worked at the property at the start of his tenure with VISION. While he will continue to oversee F&B operations, his corporate position will be limited to consulting going forward. A Johnson City, Tennessee native he currently resides in Chattanooga with his wife, Deirdre and his two sons, Dylan and Drew. Brogdon began his Food & Beverage Career 18 years ago catering private events and realized his passion for the craft. He has been an Executive Chef in various hotels, private resorts, convention centers, and fine dining restaurants from the East to the West coast. He was able to share his passion for the culinary serving as the Executive Chef at, Mia Cucina a recreational cooking school where he developed the curriculum and instructed private classes. Andrew graduated with honors at Johnson & Wales University, the only accredited culinary school in the Nation, with degrees in Culinary Arts & Food Service Management. His talent and expertise has awarded him highlights in National F&B magazines and numerous local publications. Further, he has been a featured guest on several television and news programs demonstrating various cooking techniques and show casing his culinary talent.
