Aloft Hotels Appoints Julia Harnischfeger Hotel Manager of Aloft London ExCeL
July 21, 2011 - Aloft Hotels announces the appointment of Julia Harnischfeger as Hotel Manager of Aloft London ExCeL. The hotel will mark the debut of Starwood Hotels' Aloft brand in the UK when it opens on 31st October 2011.
Harnischfeger began her career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2007 as the first Six Sigma Manager for Le Meridien Piccadilly and the former Cafe Royal in London. In January 2009, she was then promoted to the role of Director of Operational Innovation for Starwood's England hotels where she was responsible for six hotels across four brands.
Reporting to Colin Bennett, Area Manager England, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Harnischfeger will now manage the 252-room Aloft London ExCeL hotel. Set to open in autumn 2011, the Aloft London ExCeL will bring its innovative design, accessible technology and urban style to East London in advance of the London Olympics in 2012.
