Lansdowne Resort Appoints Michael Snapkoski D0SM
Leesburg, VA - August 17, 2011 - Lansdowne Resort, managed by Benchmark Hospitality International, a leading US-based hospitality management company, has named Michael Snapkoski director of sales and marketing for the resort. Lansdowne, a AAA 4 Diamond award winner, is located between historic Leesburg, Virginia and Washington, DC. Michael will replace Warren Breaux, who is currently the Director of Sales and Marketing and will be the National Sales Director for Benchmark beginning September 1. David Kohlasch, Lansdowne's general manager, made the announcement.

Michael Snapkoski was most recently vice president sales and marketing for Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center, located in National Harbor, Maryland. Within his four year tenure at the Gaylord, he was instrumental in the pre-opening sales efforts, managing 35 sales associates and leading the hotel to record bookings in the last year. He joined the team as director of sales and was eventually promoted to the vice president position. For several years, Mr. Snapkoski served in senior-level corporate and catering sales positions for major brand and independent properties in the Washington, DC metro area.
Snapkoski received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Salisbury State University Franklin P. Perdue School of Business. He resides in Potomac Falls, Virginia.
