Pyramid Names John Wagner Area Managing Director and GM for 343-room Westin Casuarina

GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS - September 7, 2011 - Pyramid Resort Group has named John Wagner as Area Managing Director and General Manager for the award-winning 343-room beachfront Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands.

Wagner brings extensive hospitality industry experience to his new role from a distinguished career that encompasses regional and general manager positions for global branded hotels including Sheraton and Hilton as well as award-winning independent hotels.

Previously, Wagner was General Manager of the 400-room Pyramid-owned and managed Renaissance Denver Hotel in Denver, Colo. Before joining Pyramid Hotel Group in 2006, Wagner held regional and vice president positions for Destination Hotels and Resorts/Lowe Enterprises and Warwick International Hotels.

Wagner's many US-based organizational affiliations reflect his strong commitment to giving back to the communities in which he lives and works. His community service roles include the Board of Directors Girl Scout Mile High Council, Board of Directors Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, Board of Directors Project Angel Heart, President Denver Metro Hotel and Lodging Association, Chairman of Metro State College Hospitality Advisory Council, and Adjunct Professor Johnson and Wales University.

He holds an Education Master of Arts/Social Sciences degree from Regis University and a Bachelor of Arts Business, Hotel and Restaurant Management degree from Michigan State University.

Wagner is relocating to Grand Cayman with his wife of 35 years and their two Welsh Corgis dogs. He and his wife are the parents of three grown children.
