Stars Brighten Jamaica's Jazz Festival

. October 14, 2008

FEBRUUARY 5, 2007. Michael Bolton, Sean Paul, Kenny Rogers, Shaggy, Earth Wind and Fire, light up the crowds at the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.

This year, tens of thousands of tourists have been coming to Montego Bay in Jamaica for all the usual reasons: tropical sun, warm Caribbean waters, great food, golf and shopping. But as winter's chill settles over half of North America, Montego Bay offers something to warm the heart and soul as well: music. All kinds of music.

Michael Bolton appeared for the first time at the grand daddy of all Caribbean music festivals -- the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, now in its 10th year at Montego Bay. It was also the first time for Jamaica's new Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller to appear on the festival stage to endorse the event.

Other headliners at this year's spectacle included Sean Paul, Kenny Rogers, Earth Wind and Fire, Shaggy and many reggae artists. If you missed this year's jazz festival, you can still enjoy the many attractions Montego Bay has to offer.
