Crowne Plaza Syracuse Unveils Sweeping Renovations
December 6, 2011 - The Crowne Plaza Syracuse is happy to announce the completion of numerous renovations made to their Syracuse hotel. Spanning from April 2011 to October 2011, the property's $5 million renovation seeks to improve customer comfort and convenience while staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Enhancements were made to all 279 guestrooms, outfitting them with better lighting, window treatments, new plush bedding, carpets, and headboards. Corridors also received new carpeting, wallpaper, window treatments, and lighting. New decor and furnishings were added to the Library Lounge and the Main Lobby, while Redfield's Restaurant's hardwood floors were refinished. The exterior of the property received a thorough power washing and resealing, assuring not only a better look to the hotel but better energy efficiency.
The center of the renovations focused on updating the hotel's elevator system. In addition to adding a third guest elevator they also installed state of the art, high-speed “Smart” technology. In eight seconds, guests can travel from the lobby level up to the best view of the city from the Horizons Ballroom located on the 20th floor of the hotel. The Horizons Ballroom also received a complete makeover with new carpeting, wallpaper, window treatments, and lighting, making it a premier wedding venue in Syracuse.
