Jewart Promoted to President/COO at Megasys

FEBRUARY 6, 2007. Mark Jewart, formerly Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Patrick Curry, former President and now CEO of Megasys announced the news to the company last week. Curry said, "Mark's dedication, experience and skills have earned him this role in our organization. We expect great things from the company as Mark will be leading a capable team to new levels of success!"

During his eight years with Megasys, Jewart has been involved with many areas of company. As Lead Programmer, he was responsible for the release of the Touch Screen Point of Sale and Timeshare modules, and was instrumental in shaping changes to the software that would address the evolving needs of the hospitality industry. His role expanded to Support Manager, then to Director of Support and Professional Services and then to Vice President and COO.

Jewart's history with Megasys began in 1998 when, after 12 years in IT for Puritan/Churchill Chemical in Atlanta, Georgia, he moved his family back to his childhood home of Tulsa, Oklahoma. "After 12 years in the corporate world, I was looking forward to being the low man on the totem pole!" he says.

Jewart's low man status didn't last long. After only one year with Megasys, he was promoted from Help Desk Programmer to Manager of Support and Development. Mark's innate strengths and abilities helped him climb the ladder and be an integral part of almost every company department on the way up.

This experience and drive will be assets to fulfilling Jewart's goals for Megasys of increased brand awareness and expansion of its loyal client base, and its primary mission of having Portfolio HMS complete and installed at all 90 client sites around the country. Jewart is excited about the potential of this new venture, saying, "When I first came to work for Megasys I quickly realized the depth of the product and what we had to offer. Megasys was a small company with so much potential and I am honored to help take this company and the associated product lines to the Industry!"

Megasys' reputation as an innovator in hospitality technology has created continual growth opportunities and opened doors in new markets.
