Brian Connelly Appointed GM of Oakwood Residence Hangzhou
Seasoned hotelier returns to China after a successful stint in Manila
February 10, 2012 - Oakwood Asia Pacific announces the appointment of Brian B. Connelly as General Manager of the award-winning Oakwood Residence Hangzhou serviced apartments in China.
Connelly has 35 years of global hotel experience from stints with the Sheraton, Hilton, InterContinental, Fairmont, and Oakwood Asia Pacific. He started as a Corporate Trainee at Sheraton and swiftly moved up the corporate ladder, assuming the position of General Manager with the same company at the young age of 31. His success in the United States eventually brought him to the Middle East and Asia, where his credentials were further enhanced with stints in various types of properties, including international hotel chains, corporate and convention hotels and opening a luxury hotel in China.
Prior to Oakwood Residence Hangzhou, he opened Oakwood Premier Joy~Nostalg Center Manila, Philippines which he led to a successful industry performance, and worked on special projects for Oakwood Asia Pacific.

The seasoned American hotelier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from the Oklahoma State University. He is a wine aficionado, enjoys cooking, traveling, reading and engaging in fitness activities.
