Hotel Beacon NYC Unveils Cocktail Lounge
Coming soon to New York's Upper West Side!
May 29, 2012 - Hotel Beacon NYC has revealed a preview of its long-awaited cocktail lounge, which will finally provide this popular New York neighborhood with an upscale bar.
Located at Broadway & West 75th Street, next door to the Beacon Theater, the Beacon Bar is designed to fill a gap in the surrounding area, which currently lacks a suitable venue for people to enjoy a drink in an elegant setting. Requested for years by the hotel's regular customers, the cocktail lounge is also expected to appeal to Upper West Side locals and theater-goers. It will also serve afternoon tea from 3pm.
“The area around the Beacon has a lively nightlife, but it is generally aimed at a younger crowd, mainly college students,” said Tom Travers, general manager of Hotel Beacon NYC. “Our guests were always telling us that they wished there was somewhere nice nearby where they could relax after a long day, and our corporate travelers were always looking for a new way to entertain clients. Now, we have answered both those requests. The Beacon's urban, modern-style cocktail lounge will be perfect for tourists and business travelers, as well as anyone who likes to have a pre-theater drink before a show at the Beacon Theater next door.”
Due to be completed in February 2013, the 90-seat Beacon Bar will feature a sleek contrast of steel gray, cobalt blue furnishings, light wood panelling and sophisticated lighting.
The menu will include a wide range of beverages, including signature cocktails, as well as afternoon tea and a selection of food items. Free Wi-Fi is also available for all customers and hotel guests.
