Weekapaug Inn, Opening in Fall 2012, Appoints GM

June 6, 2012 - Antonia Korosec has been named General Manager and Innkeeper of the Weekapaug Inn, the 31-room historic inn that is set to reopen in October 2012 after a $20 million transformation. The announcement was made by Langdon Wheeler, the Managing Member of Weekapaug Inn & Cottages LLC.

Korosec brings more than 10 years of international experience in the luxury hotel and private club industry. Most recently, Korosec was the Assistant Managing Director and Director of Rooms at the Weekapaug Inn's sister property, the Ocean House, a AAA Five Diamond, Relais & Châteaux property in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Previously, Korosec served as the Assistant Managing Director at L'hotel Grand Paradis, an upscale seasonal ski resort in Val d'Isère, France, consisting of 38 rooms, three restaurants and seasonal activities. She also served as the Executive Assistant to the President and Assistant Hotel Director (Rooms Division) at Lajitas, The Ultimate Hideout, an independently owned Mobil Four-Star, AAA Four Diamond hotel in Lajitas, Texas. Korosec also held tenure as the Food and Beverage and Club House Manager at the Yacht Club de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Korosec received her Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management from École Hotelier de Lausanne in Switzerland. She is fluent in French, English, German and Spanish.

Reopening in October of 2012, the historic Weekapaug Inn is located in the peaceful community of Weekapaug, Rhode Island, with sweeping views of Quonochontaug Pond, and the Atlantic just beyond. Inspired by classic Cape-Cod style, the building is covered with red cedar shingles, accented by dark brown trim. The property features 27 guest rooms and four two-bedroom Signature Suites, with farm-to-table fine and casual dining that is a modern interpretation of New England coastal cuisine, and boutique event space. The Inn will be open year-round and will cater to leisure and business travelers seeking a serene, first-class, waterfront hotel.

The Weekapaug Inn will be managed by Ocean House Management, LLC which will oversee sales, reservations and communications for the Inn. Korosec will report directly to Daniel Hostettler, the President and Managing Director of Ocean House Management, LLC.
