June 29, 2012 - White Lodging Services announced Katrina Peterson has been promoted to the general manager of the Courtyard Grand Rapids.

Katrina started her career with White Lodging as a guest service representative in May 2008 at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Airport, completing an internship while an undergraduate student at Central Michigan University. She graduated in December 2008 with her Bachelors of Science in business administration with an emphasis in hospitality.

"I've very much enjoyed my years at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Airport," said Peterson. "I've had the opportunity to work with an exceptional staff. I'm looking forward to joining the Courtyard Marriott team and having the opportunity to learn a new hotel brand."

In 2009, Peterson was promoted to Operations Supervisor at the Holiday Inn, and in 2010, she was promoted to Operations Manager and received the Full Service Rooms Manager of the Year award.

"Peterson has been an instrumental part of the success at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids achieving a Green/Gold/Platinum scorecard in 2011 including winning multiple Excalibur awards and never having a red zone category in her role as an Operations Manager," said Daniel Gomez, the previous general manager at the Holiday Inn Grand Rapids Airport. Gomez is now the general manager at the Courtyard Houston at the Galleria. "We look forward to that track record continuing at the Courtyard Grand Rapids."
