Newly Refurbished Pensione Hotel Perth Celebrates Winning AHA Award
August 8, 2012 - Pensione Hotel Perth has taken out a major prize at the Australian Hotel Association WA Awards, just months after completing a major refurbishment.
The hotel was awarded the best Mid-Range Accommodation honour at the awards ceremony last night (6.8.12) in the hotly contested 3-3.5 Star category which included the Ibis and Ambassador Hotels.
8Hotels Founder and CEO, Paul Fischmann said he was extremely pleased that the AHA had recognised the extensive time, money and effort which had been dedicated to the property, previously named Aarons Hotel Perth, since 8Hotels began managing it at the end of 2011.
“After completing a major refurbishment which included new carpets, furniture, bedding, soft furnishings and paint, saw the installation of reverse cycle air-conditioning and the renovation of most bathrooms, the hotel really looks great,” Fischmann said.
In addition to the facilities, Fischmann was confident that the improvements to service standards also played a large role in the achievement of the award.
“The team has worked incredibly hard to improve the service provided to guests. I'm very pleased to see that we get as many compliments about our service as we do the new rooms,” Fischmann said.
