Loews Coronado Bay Announces New Director of Food & Beverage
San Diego, CA - October 8, 2012 - Loews Coronado Bay is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Berwald as the Director of Food and Beverage. With more than 15 years of experience in the service industry and a distinguished background in culinary arts, he now takes the helm of the resort's entire in-house dining facilities, including two restaurants and one lounge as well as 24-hour room service and banquet services.
Berwald joins the ranks of Loews Hotels after leading teams in both large-scale hotel food and beverage operations, such as the 2,500-room Rio-All Suite Hotel & Casino, where he oversaw several dining outlets, to boutique-style operations such as The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, where he managed round-the-clock dining options including a steakhouse, a casual concept restaurant, banquet facilities, room service and a nightclub. His most recent post was at InterContinental's North American flagship, The Willard, where he served as Executive Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
He earned a culinary arts degree from Le Cordon Blue in Paris in 1998 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in hotel administration from University of Nevada in 2005.
