New Appointments for Small Luxury Hotels of the World
December 14, 2012 - Small Luxury Hotels of the World has announced two new executive appointments with the arrival of Tim Davis as global marketing director and Joyce Polsenberg as area & development director.
With experience earned at some of the world's most dynamic brands, Davis will be based from SLH's head office in London.
He is responsible for global marketing and brand performance with particular emphasis on the strategic direction of the SLH brand, global brand partnerships and championing the SLH message through the collection's network of PR agencies.
Reporting directly to Paul Kerr, chief executive of SLH, Davis will manage a team of marketing experts based at SLH worldwide offices while working closely with the senior team at Hill, Goodridge and Associates, which in turn manages SLH.
Looking to 2013 and beyond, Davis's focus will be on delivering the very best experience for SLH members, customers, hoteliers and contacts within the travel trade.
Prior to joining SLH, Davis held significant marketing and brand roles at Virgin, Vodafone and Red Bull.
Davis earned degrees in Business and French from the University of West England, Bristol, as well as a Chartered Institute of Marketing Professional Diploma.
Polsenberg is based in the SLH New York office and will continue to boost awareness and strength for the brand in the Americas.
Coming from a diverse background, Polsenberg began with an undergraduate degree in finance and international business from Georgetown University.
She then worked at Lehman Brothers on the trading room floor before obtaining a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University, as well as at a leading hospitality brand as the Global Director of Business Development. Joyce's duties and responsibilities will be two-fold including overseeing the US office as well as expanding the SLH brand in the Americas.
