Tony Cortizas Named VP Global Brand Marketing for Melia Hotels
December 14, 2012 - Meliá Hotels International announces the promotion of Tony Cortiza to VP Global Brand Marketing effective immediately. Previously acting as the VP Brand Marketing - Premium Portfolio & America Operations, Tony is now working with all of the company's brands, overseeing strategies, public relations campaigns and global marketing initiatives across the extensive portfolio of hotel and resort properties.

Cortizas, who will continue to be based out of Miami, often working from Melia Hotels Internationals corporate headquarters out of Palma de Mallorca in Spain, assumes the role with more than 20 years of experience in advertising and marketing. A seasoned professional fully versed in every aspect of the field from strategic planning and budgeting, to campaign design and brand development, Tony's in-depth understanding of media planning in both domestic and international markets has given him the background needed to successfully lead integrated marketing initiatives and major brand repositioning strategies simultaneously across numerous brands.
