Aston Hotels & Resorts Announces Three Executive Promotions
HONOLULU, HI - May 16, 2013 - Aston Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce three key executive promotions:
Vish Bhatia has been promoted to vice president of corporate revenue optimization. Bhatia joined Aston two years ago as senior director of corporate revenue optimization, where he led the expansion of the company's revenue management team and implemented strategies contributing to significant revenue growth. He has more than two decades of international experience in revenue and asset management, as well as business development, working with the Oberoi Group, a global chain of luxury hotels, and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, among others. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University.
Cathy Mak has been promoted to assistant vice president of financial reporting and planning, where she will be responsible for coordinating corporate and property financial reporting, operating and capital budgeting, and forecasting. Mak joined Aston in 1994 as an assistant accountant, and most recently served as director of financial systems and reporting. She has been instrumental in the implementation of several financial systems, as well as Aston's payroll system in 2010 and new property management system in 2012. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Hawaii Pacific University.
Wes Murasaki has been promoted to senior director of sales, where he will oversee sales for Aston's Oahu properties as well as corporate, government and group segments. Murasaki started with Aston more than a decade ago as group sales manager. He has since served as director of sales for Kauai, the Hawaii Island and Oahu. He previously worked as the director of sales for the Kauai Coconut Beach Resort and as a sales manager with Castle Resorts & Hotels. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii.
