Irene Hoek Named Head of Global Development for Dorchester Collection
June 20, 2013 - Irene Hoek has been appointed head of global development at Dorchester Collection and will be responsible for identifying and executing acquisition and management opportunities to grow the brand. With nine hotels currently within the company, the aim of Dorchester Collection is to increase its portfolio in key cities by 2015.

Having worked in hotel development for the past 15 years, Hoek joins Dorchester Collection from IHG based in London, where she held the position of vice president of development, overseeing strategic investment and management opportunities for the InterContinental brand. Her previous positions include vice president of development at IHG's North America headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, responsible for branded residential development, and vice president of development at Starwood's North America headquarters in New York, responsible for growth of the St Regis brand. Prior to that, she was director of development for Europe, Africa and Middle East for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and senior associate at BNY Capital Markets Inc, focused on mergers and acquisitions.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia State University and a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Irene brings in-depth knowledge and strategic expertise to her new role at Dorchester Collection.
