Fisher Island Club Names Christian J. Sarquis Director of Catering
MIAMI - June 24, 2013 - Fisher Island Club, the exclusive private island community located off Miami Beach, Florida, has named Christian J. Sarquis as Director of Catering, today announced CEO Bernard Lackner.
Sarquis brings to Fisher Island Club more than a decade of catering experience. In his new position, he will coordinate the logistics of all social and member gatherings, including weddings, holiday celebrations, private dinners and corporate events.
Prior to joining Fisher Island Club, Sarquis served as Director of Catering for The Grove Isle Hotel and Spa where he oversaw the day-to-day activities of the catering department and actively focused on new business development. He previously managed catering and conference services for leading hotels throughout South Florida, including the Gansevoort South Hotel, Trump International Beach Resort and The Palms Hotel South Beach.
He has consistently met and exceeded budgeting goals in his previous positions, using his knowledge of current trends to update catering packages and meet clients' needs. During his tenure at Grove Isle, Sarquis increased the number of weddings and special events by more than 75 percent. His implementation of the highest service standards and commitment to customer satisfaction has gained him notable recognition within the hotel industry. In 2006, Sarquis was honored as the Passion Point Winner, a service driven award, by Trump International Beach Resort.
