Spice Island Beach Resort, Grenanda Update on $12 Million Renovation
Proceeding on Schedule for Re-Opening DEC. 15, 2005
GRENADA, August 15, 2005. According to contractors at Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada, the US$12 million rebuilding project is proceeding on schedule, and Spice will re-open on Dec. 15, 2005 as originally planned.
Status as of August 2005:
The newly-designed structures of all the beachfront rooms have been rebuilt, and roofs have been completed on all nine buildings housing these accommodations (32 Seagrape Suites, 1 Cinnamon Suite and 1 Saffron Suite). Painting and retiling has been completed in the Oleander Oceanview category and has now started in the Seagrape Suites, Anthurium Pavilion Pool Suites and Luxury Almond Pool Suites. The foundation has been completed for the new 5,500 sq.ft Janissa's Spa and fitness center. Further status reports will be provided in the coming months.

When Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada re-opens on Dec. 15, 2005, it will unveil an unmatched level of accommodations and unprecedented brand of chic style and timeless luxury. Spice Island Beach Resort has been closed since last fall following damages sustained from Hurricane Ivan.
