Director of Finance Named for the Grand Del Mar
Manchester Grand Resort's New Property in North San Diego County
SAN DIEGO, CA, February 28, 2007. Adding to its growing roster of seasoned hospitality executives, Manchester Grand Resorts has named Mehrdad "Mike" Saeidi director of finance for The Grand Del Mar, the luxurious new resort now under construction in North San Diego County. Saeidi was most recently the controller of the Standard Hotel, overseeing financial operations for properties in Hollywood and Los Angeles.
As director of finance for The Grand Del Mar, Saeidi will manage the resort's accounting department, directing all financial and budgeting operations for the much-anticipated 249-room property, which is owned and operated by Manchester Grand Resorts.
According to Thomas J.W. Voss, president of Manchester Grand Resorts, Saeidi will be a key member of the resort's executive team. "We are confident his considerable expertise will help us achieve our goal of establishing The Grand Del Mar as one of the region's top luxury resorts," Voss said.
Saeidi also worked for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for seven years, serving as director of finance for its Half Moon Bay and Rancho Mirage properties. Prior to his tenure with Ritz-Carlton, he was assistant director of finance for the Phoenix Airport Hilton and a financial analyst with Phoenix-based Communications Technologies Inc.
Saeidi holds a master's of international management degree from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona and a bachelor of science degree in business economics from Northern Arizona University.
Married with two children, he now lives in the Carlsbad neighborhood of San Diego County.
