Benchmark Appoints DFB for Northland Inn

HOUSTON, TX, March 8, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Susan Schmittfranz director of food & beverage for The Northland Inn, a hotel and executive conference center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, near Minneapolis. Charles Nehme, general manager, made the announcement.

"I am so pleased to announce the promotion of Susan," said Mr. Nehme. "She has been a superb addition to our food & beverage team and will provide strong leadership to this important department at The Northland Inn."

Ms. Schmittfranz was previously the assistant food & beverage director for The Northland Inn, a position she assumed in June 2006. Since then, she has instituted policies, procedures and applied controls that have positively impacted the food & beverage operations of the property in a significant way.

Prior to joining Benchmark Hospitality, Schmittfranz was assistant general manager for the Grand Rios Hotel and Indoor Water Park of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She has also served as director of food & beverage for the Grand Hotel of Minneapolis.

Ms. Schmittfranz graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and an emphasis in food & beverage management. She resides in Eagan, Minnesota.
