Renaissance Worthington Hotel Hires New DOSM

FORT WORTH, TX, March 20, 2007. Renaissance Worthington Hotel, the original AAA four-diamond hotel in Fort Worth, has announced that it has appointed Jim Gabler as its new Director of Sales and Marketing. A hospitality veteran with over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry, Gabler will oversee sales, strategic marketing and promotional activities for The Worthington, which celebrated its 25th Anniversary last year.

"Jim has an exceptional background that will only serve to our benefit as the Fort Worth marketplace adds supply in the next two years," said Robert L. Jameson, general manager of The Worthington. "We are fortunate to have lured him back to the Marriott family, and are glad to welcome someone with his extensive hospitality experience as part of our Fort Worth team."

Before joining The Worthington, Gabler had been Director of Sales and Marketing at the Adams Mark Hotel in Dallas, where he successfully restructured the group sales force and initiated an aggressive advertising campaign to increase room occupancy. Prior to that, he was employed for 17 years with Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR), working as Director of Marketing Communications for the Marriott Rivercenter/Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, and more recently as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Gabler also previously led the sales efforts at both the Renaissance Houston Hotel and the Renaissance Austin Hotel, establishing loyalty programs and partnerships with key corporate and local attractions to drive transient and leisure business.

A member of the American Society of Association Executives as well as Meeting Planners International, Gabler began his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation, working in sales at flagships in Chicago, Detroit, and Washington, D.C.

A graduate of Michigan State University, the Detroit area native now lives

in Forney with his wife and daughter.
