Langham Names Helmut Knipp SVP, Development

HONG KONG, September 13, 2006. Langham Hotels International (LHI) is pleased to announce the group's latest executive appointments and promotions:

Helmut Knipp, Senior Vice President - Development

Mr. Knipp is a seasoned hotel executive with over 30 years of experience in hotel, resort and club development, possessing a strong background in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Throughout his career with Hilton Hotels, Mr. Knipp has held senior management positions in sales and marketing, operations and finance.

He was also actively involved in the pre-opening projects with Lincoln Hotels, Dallas where he directed the acquisition and opening of four new hotels and completed redevelopment of two historic properties. He also headed the Peabody Hotel Group and North American and Caribbean operations for Renaissance Hotels prior to its merger with Stouffer Hotels. Prior to joining LHI, Mr. Knipp was Managing Director of CCA International Ltd., Hong Kong, managing 28 clubs and resorts in 14 countries in Asia and Europe and handling business development in China and the Asia Pacific region.

In his new role, Mr. Knipp spearheads LHI's development team to extend Langham's business ventures worldwide.

Sherona Shng, Director of Communications

Ms. Shng joined the Langham group in 2003 as Director of Communications of the Langham Place Hotel, Mongkok, Hong Kong and Eaton Hotel Hong Kong. She became the Group's Director of Public Relations in April 2005, where she was responsible for developing the Group's strategic publicity campaign through effective communication with the media. Ms. Shng possesses extensive communications experience in Singapore, China and Hong Kong. Previously she worked for New World Renaissance Hotel, Island Shangri-La Hong Kong and Television Corporation of Singapore. As Director of Communications of LHI, Ms. Shng directs the group's communications plan and public relations initiatives worldwide. She is also involved in the development and enhancement of the Langham brands image globally.

Jonathan Rose, Group Director of Spa

Mr. Rose is a professional Spa operator with a wealth of experience working in leading health clubs, spa and wellness facilities in Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia Pacific. He had extensive exposure in the hotel and leisure industry with Hyatt International and Hilton owned LivingWell Health Clubs, where he accumulated his expertise in new business set-up, operation management and acquisitions. During the past four years, Mr. Rose has further expanded his skills into the spa consultancy field, providing business solutions in areas ranging from spa concept formulation to sales and marketing support. As Group Director of Spa, Mr. Rose is responsible for the strategic development of Chuan Spa and its further expansion into other potential markets.

Winston Suen, Director of Corporate Engineering

With over 20 years of experience in the engineering field, Mr. Suen has assumed senior technical services positions for various project portfolio in the Greater China region. He is a chartered electrical engineer, with rich experience in handling multi-disciplinary M&E projects of residential and commercial buildings, service apartments and hotels, as well as industrial/transportation establishment, during his working for Kerry Properties Development Management (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., The Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels Ltd., Hong Kong Mass Transit Railway Corporation, and several MNC. Mr. Suen also possesses solid knowledge in fire protection and security system. As Director of Corporate Engineering, Mr. Suen manages the engineering issues of the Langham group and monitors the technical services for the Langham properties.

Winnie Tang, Public Relations Manager

Ms. Tang has been promoted to the position of Public Relations Manager after joining LHI in 2005 as Assistant Public Relations Manager. Prior to joining LHI, Ms. Tang worked in the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, where she accumulated 5 years of international marketing, trade promotion and event management experience. She began her career with the John Swire & Sons group. Under her expanded capacity, she will assist Director of Communications to formulate PR strategies and implement PR projects to maximise LHI's media exposure in global platform.
