MARCH 22, 2007. Mr. John Q. Hammons yesterday announced the grand opening of the $22 million, six-story, 151-room Residence Inn(R) by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown/Bricktown. More than 100 guests, including the mayor, city representatives and local dignitaries, participated in a ceremonial ribbon cutting to welcome the first all-suite, extended-stay hotel property to the Bricktown area. The Residence Inn by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown/Bricktown is owned by Mr. Hammons and operated by Springfield, Mo.-based John Q. Positioned on the west edge of Reno Ave., the hotel is conveniently situated near two major interstates, I-40 and I-35. Located on the Bricktown Canal, the hotel is easily accessible from the Ford Center, Bass Pro Shops, AT&T Bricktown Ballpark and Sonic's headquarters.

"The placement of this hotel in the heart of the city, amongst its finest developments, is part of John Q. Hammons' desire to create an atmosphere that guests will appreciate and remember," said Rex Amsler Jr., general manager of the hotel. "We believe that Residence Inn will become a destination for both business and leisure travelers time and time again."

The Residence Inn by Marriott Oklahoma City Downtown/Bricktown represents Mr. Hammons' third property in Oklahoma City and fifth property in Oklahoma, including one under construction in Norman. The Oklahoma portfolio will soon be complemented by the 283-suite, 10-story Embassy Suites Hotel Norman, to be located at I-35, two miles from the University of Oklahoma.

"The incredible transformation of the downtown district provided an excellent opportunity to build an upscale, all-suite, extended-stay property," said Mr. Hammons, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts. "I continue to invest in Oklahoma City because of the outstanding performance of our other properties, and I am confident the Residence Inn by Marriott in Downtown/Bricktown will surpass expectations."
