Benchmark Appoints Jim Deranek Director of Recruitment
HOUSTON, TX, April 2, 2007. Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Jim Deranek as director of recruitment for the leading hospitality management company. Eileen Santoli, vice president of human resources, made the announcement.

Previous to joining Benchmark, Mr. Deranek was the associate director of recruiting and admissions for Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. In this role, he was responsible for designing and implementing new Student Recruitment Programs, which were used for system-wide university recruiting initiatives.
Mr. Deranek has also served as national recruiting manager for Marriott International of Bethesda, Maryland, and college relations manager for Marriott Vacation Club International of Orlando, Florida. Earlier in his career, he held the positions of sales systems manager and functional requirements manager for Budget Rent A Car.
Jim Deranek is a graduate of Purdue University and has attended the Executive Master of Science in Hospitality Management program at Florida International University, located in Miami. He and his family are relocating to The Woodlands area.
