Denihan Adds Washington, DC Property

. October 14, 2008

APRIL 4, 2007. The Denihan Hospitality Group (DHG) marks its entrance into the Washington, D.C. market with its recent appointment as the management company for LaSalle Hotel Properties' Capitol Hill area hotel. Currently the Holiday Inn on the Hill, the 343-room property will undergo a renovation and repositioning. DHG will continue to manage the hotel under the Holiday Inn flag until renovations are complete in the first quarter of 2008, at which time the new positioning for the property will be unveiled.

Says Patrick Denihan, co-CEO of DHG, "We are very excited to be entering into this relationship with LaSalle, the premier REIT in the industry with an impressive portfolio of design-led, experiential hotels. DHG's approach to hotel management and design dovetails nicely with LaSalle's portfolio." Adds co-CEO Brooke Barrett, "And, we are thrilled that this deal has brought DHG to the D.C. market, especially because this property is the closest hotel to the U.S. Capitol Building. After our repositioning, it will take its place as a must-stay property for anyone visiting the Hill."

LaSalle selected DHG based on DHG's impressive credentials and experience in managing and repositioning their own portfolio of hotels. John Bortz, Chief Executive Officer of LaSalle states that, "DHG is the right choice for this property, and we are very much looking forward to tapping their hotel repositioning expertise to transform this property into a sought-after destination that boasts both operational and financial success."

The property has been in the LaSalle portfolio for nearly ten years.
