Steven Janicek Named General Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch on Beaver Creek Mountain
Year-Round Luxury Resort in Colorado Welcomes a Veteran Leader
AVON, CO. - June 2, 2015. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steven Janicek as General Manager. With more than 28 years of industry savvy, Janicek will oversee daily resort operations which include food and beverage, rooms and sales and marketing divisions.

A hospitality career that began with Stouffer Hotels landed Janicek at the helm of his most recent post, as General Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Denver where he saw many successes including maintaining the coveted AAA Five-Diamond award, and successfully completing full restaurant and guest room renovations. Prior to his position in Denver, Janicek was General Manager of The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in the Vail Valley for three years. He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. in 1990 for the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Aspen. During his seven-year tenure at the hotel, he held multiple strategic positions including National Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing.
Janicek continued to chart his course and cultivate his experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing for a collection of hotels including hotels including: The Coeur d'Alene Resort, The Miramonte Resort, The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix, The Lodge at Rancho Mirage and Vail Cascade Resort and Spa. Following a three-year segue as Vice President of Sales and Business Development in a related field, his leadership was warmly welcomed back to the Colorado luxury hospitality industry in 2009. Janicek earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Humboldt State University. He will relocate to the Beaver Creek area with his wife, Theresa.
