Christian “Bruce” Connors Joins Westward Look as Director of Tennis
Former Pac 10 tennis player, 20-year experienced pro joins team
Tucson, AZ. July 13, 2015 - Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa is excited to announce the appointment of Bruce Connors as director of tennis for the resort's tennis program. In this new role, Connors will be responsible for administering tennis programming for the resort, including clinics, camps, training, cardio tennis courses and social events.
“Bruce has provided instruction here at Westward Look for more than four years and has a great rapport with many of our members,” said David Yamada, the resort's general manager. “He brings a lot of experience and I'm looking forward to him leading the charge in growing and enhancing our tennis program.”
Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa boasts eight championship courts, all with breathtaking mountain and desert views. Five of the resort's courts feature asphalt surfaces, while two are synthetic turf and one is a composite court. Five of the resort's courts are lighted for nighttime play, so games can be enjoyed after the heat of the day subsides.
The resort's tennis program welcomes players of all skill levels. It has a comprehensive matching service with many local members, which means friendly competition is always available. Westward Look's program includes adult and junior camps and clinics, weekly Cardio Tennis and local tennis memberships.
Westward Look Wyndham Grand Resort & Spa tennis facilities are operated by WTS International, which provides leisure and spa consulting and management services for facilities around the world.
“I look forward to working with the impressive team at Westward Look to make the tennis experience for guests and locals a memorable one,” added Connors.
Connors is an elite member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) and has been ranked as a top competitive player in the Southwest region.
