Doug Ramsay Appointed GM of the Embassy Suites La Quinta
LA QUINTA, CA, March 27, 2007. The Embassy Suites La Quinta - HOtel & Spa, owned and operated by Village Resorts LLC, today announced that Doug Ramsay has been appointed general manager of the new Embassy Suites Hotel located at 50-777 Santa Rosa Plaza, La Quinta CA 92253. The 146 suite hotel, with 123 casitas opened in November 2006.
As general manager, Ramsay will direct all areas of the hotel's operations, including guest services, sales and marketing efforts, and hotel administration.

Prior to joining the Embassy Suites Hotel La Quinta, Ramsay was General Manager of the 335 room Embassy Suites La Jolla since 1995. He also worked in the same capacity at several of the brand's hotels in the Phoenix market. Ramsay attended Arizona State University, and has been on the board of directors for the San Diego North County Visitors and Convention Bureau, as well as the Phoenix City and Hospitality Association. He was also active with the Valley Innkeepers and several chambers of commerce.
