McKibbon Hotel Group Provides Grant to Help Fund the New Ronald McDonald House in Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK, AR. September 1, 2015 - McKibbon Hotel Group, an award-winning leader in the hotel development and management industry, announces that the company will partner with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas in a joint effort to build a new Ronald McDonald house in Little Rock, which is slated to open November 2016.
McKibbon Hotel Group's charitable arm, McKibbon Hospitality Foundation, will provide a generous grant to the Where Hope Has a Home Capital Campaign, which plans to raise $8 million to build a new 32,000 sq. ft., 32-bedroom facility. In return for their gift, McKibbon will be given name recognition of the new facility's administrative offices.
“Little Rock has been an ideal market to develop new properties and one that we are very passionate about growing,” said John McKibbon, chairman of McKibbon Hotel Group. “Our team is looking forward to serving families in need through such an important effort.”
Since 1980, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas (RMHCA) has provided a private stay for more than 25,000 families from all over Arkansas. The families are also granted warm meals, hot showers, play space, etc. The new Ronald McDonald House will provide more space, larger rooms and a broadening of programs and services offered to families in need.
“We are honored to receive a gift from McKibbon Hospitality Foundation to help build Arkansas' new Ronald McDonald House. McKibbon is the gold standard for hospitality in our area and we intend to make them proud as we take care of families with hospitalized children,” said Katie Kirkpatrick Choate, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas.
In June, McKibbon Hotel Group opened their fourth hotel property, Homewood Suites, in downtown Little Rock. McKibbon's other hotels include the Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn & Hampton Inn, all located in downtown Little Rock.
