Sylvain Chauvet Appointed GM of the Corinthia Atlantic

NEW YORK, NY. April 13, 2007. Corinthia Hotels recently appointed a new General Manager, Sylvain Chauvet, for the four-star Corinthia Atlantic Hotel in Banjul, The Gambia, West Africa.

Mr. Chauvet brings with him almost ten years of travel industry experience in Africa, having just come from Zanzibar, Tanzania where he was General Manager at Karafuu, a five-star beach resort, for five years. Prior to that he spent four years as Director and Operations Manager for Tanganyika Wildlife Safari Company in Arusha, Tanzania. Mr. Chauvet speaks Swahili, French, English and Spanish.

The Corinthia Atlantic Hotel is located along the Atlantic Ocean coastline of The Gambia,an English speaking country. The property is just minutes from the country's capital center of Banjul. Lavish landscaping, a private beach and a health and fitness center and outdoor pool are among its amenities. The recently refurbished four-star hotel, with over 200 rooms and suites, has a nightclub, five bars and three fine dining restaurants and a casual buffet on the premises.
