Sonesta Coconut Grove Team Honored at 2015 Hospitality Leadership Awards Reception
MIAMI, FL - December 8, 2015 - Sonesta Coconut Grove today announced that team members Grace Santoso and Ciro Leoni were honored at the 2015 Hospitality Leadership Awards, hosted by the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association. Santoso received the Outstanding Housekeeping Manager of the Year award, and Leoni was honored for his nomination in the Outstanding Culinary Manger of the Year category. The reception took place on November 16 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

Santoso has been in the hospitality industry for 12 years, and joined the Sonesta Coconut Grove team in 2012. Since joining the hotel, she has made great strides in the housekeeping department by improving internal housekeeping scores and continuously cross-training employees to enhance their skill sets. Santoso has developed her staff into a successful team of motivated and loyal individuals, making them a great asset to the hotel.
Leoni joined the Sonesta Coconut Grove team in 2010 as an entry-level line cook, and has since filled the role of sous chef. In this role, he is constantly innovating the hotel's culinary experience by involving other departments in his decision-making, inviting front members to sample new menu items and using their ideas for his plate designs. His dedication and proactivity have proven essential to the hotel's culinary success.
The 2015 Hospitality Leadership Awards are designated by the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association. Award winners and nominees are elected by their respective hotels, and the GMBHA selects the winners based on their experience, dedication, accomplishments and growth in the hospitality industry. GMBHA supports members' interests through active involvement in local, state and national issues. Its' members include more than 160 hotels and 300 allied businesses located across Miami-Dade County. GMBHA endorses the interests of members through advocacy, education, and partnership to encourage Miami as a city of destination.
