John Yeadon Appointed as Director of Sales and Marketing for Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA. February 22, 2016 - Award-winning Southern California hotel, Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego, is pleased to announce John Yeadon as director of sales and marketing. In his role, Yeadon will oversee varying aspects of Grand Hyatt San Diego, including revenue forecasting, developing business plans, and owner relations. Additionally, Yeadon's other accountabilities include the recruitment and hiring of the hotel's sales team, training, managing and coaching sales managers in their selling process in order to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues, business analysis, and community relations for the 316,000-square-foot, 1,628 room property. Prior to his new position with the executive team at Grand Hyatt San Diego, Yeadon held various management positions at Hyatt properties including the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Hyatt Regency Denver and Grand Hyatt Denver. Yeadon's vast experience with the Hyatt brand, combined with his love for beach living will act as a smooth transition from Maui to San Diego.

Yeadon started his career with Hyatt Hotels in 2005 as a Sales Manager for the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. In this positon, he was able to build the foundation of his career, achieving annual performance goals while selling through innovation and renovation. From there, Yeadon has established a long lasting and successful career in sales and marketing with Hyatt Hotels through key oversight, leadership and innovation.
During his tenure at at Hyatt Regency Maui, Yeadon coordinated their Paddle for a Cure, all to benefit Susan G. Komen Hawaii's mission of supporting and promoting collaboration among Hawaii's healthcare providers and organizations. Additionally, the fundraiser enabled the implementation of culturally sensitive education, screening and treatment programs. In just the second year, the hotel raised nearly $40,000, making the event the single largest community or corporate fundraiser to benefit Susan G. Komen Hawaii on record.

Yeadon earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University where he majored in Sports Marketing and Management and minored in Business. In his time with Hyatt Hotels, he was nominated for 'Sales Team of the Year' four times, winning in 2008 and in 2013 Yeadon won Director of Sales of the Year in 2013. During his time at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa, Yeadon used his innovative social media skills to win Hotels Magazine's 2015 Social Award for “Best Facebook Promotion.”
