NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA. March 2, 2016 - A seasoned veteran of the hospitality industry with more than 10 years of quality management experience, Oliver Goldsmith joins The Garland as Director of Food and Beverage. In his new role, Goldsmith is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at The Garland, including its neighborhood-dining restaurant, The Front Yard, in-room dining and banquet catering services. With a passion for trying new food and drinks and an appreciation for the ever-changing Los Angeles food scene, Goldsmith is eager to elevate The Front Yard as a top destination in North Hollywood for leisure dining, social and corporate events.

"Oliver's extensive experience managing various multi-million dollar revenue culinary concepts in Los Angeles paired with his dedication and knowledge of our local community make him a true asset to our team at The Garland," said Scott Mills, general manager at The Garland. "His attention to detail, commitment to service and drive for success will no doubt reflect in all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage program."

In his most recent position as Area Manager for LGO Hospitality in Pasadena, Goldsmith was responsible for managing more than $9.5 million in revenue for La Grande Orange Cafe, The Otis Bar and Luggage Room, and he played an integral role in the opening of a fourth restaurant concept, Ingo's Tasty Diner. Previous to this role, Goldsmith spent over seven years with Grill Concepts in various leadership positions, from Executive General Manager to Area Manager, at several high-volume Daily Grill and Public School locations (including Studio City and Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport). He received the 2012 Grill Concepts President's Award, the highest accolade given to any member of the Grill Concepts family, for consistently leading the team in annual sales revenue of over $14 million.

Goldsmith, a previous Board Member of the Studio City Chamber of Commerce, remains heavily involved in community-related and charity programs in his free time.
