Expotel Hospitality Services Names Tim Waz, President and Chief Operating Officer
NEW ORLEANS, LA. April 12, 2016 - New Orleans-based hotel management company, Expotel Hospitality Services, L.L.C., announced the appointment of hospitality veteran Tim Waz as the new company President and Chief Operating Officer.
Waz joined Expotel in 2015 and brought a combined 15 years of Hospitality and Hotel Management experience. He will lead the multi-state hotel management company's overall operations and strategic planning, as well as development and property improvement projects, said company Chairman, George Newton III.
“Tim's drive and focus on operational execution, financial reviews, budget planning and implementation, revenue management and sales support are key attributes that he has brought to Expotel over the past year,” Newton commented.
Prior to joining Expotel Hospitality, Tim held the positions of VP Revenue Management, VP of Operations, and Director of Development with HP Hotels based out of Birmingham, AL. Tim's love of the hospitality industry and high energy level have placed him in roles within Hilton Worldwide and direct Hotel Operations and Sales positions within Hilton, Marriot and Starwood.
Tim graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing.
