Hotel Granduca Austin Names Mario Alcocer Executive Chef and Timothy Kirby as Director of Outlets Overseeing all F&B Operations
AUSTIN, TX. July 18, 2016 - Hotel Granduca Austin is pleased to announce two new executive appointments, Mario Alcocer as executive chef and Timothy Kirby as director of outlets. The Tuscan-inspired boutique hotel opened last fall in the Westlake area of Austin.

Mario Alcocer joins Hotel Granduca Austin as executive chef, where he will oversee and advise the culinary team, ensuring an exquisite dining selection for guests throughout all outlets, including Visconti Ristorante & Bar. Alcocer brings more than 25 years of professional culinary experience. Most recently, he was the executive chef of the Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. He has also worked at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village and Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Timothy Kirby brings extensive experience and background in numerous areas of hospitality management, including more than 12 years of dynamic food and beverage management. As director of outlets, Kirby will manage all food and beverage outlets, collaborating with the executive chef and culinary team to create a memorable dining experience for hotel guests. Most recently, Kirby was the banquet manager at the Swissotel in Chicago. Previously, Kirby has also worked at the Fairmont Banff Springs and Fairmont Miramar.
