Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport Hotel Unveiled
EDMONDS, WA, August 23, 2005. The Hotel Group announces the re-branding of the Radisson San Antonio Airport, a 226-room, full-service hotel, as the Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport Hotel.
The 10-story hotel is located two miles from San Antonio International Airport and 15 miles from downtown, at 1111 NE Loop 410 in San Antonio. The hotel features 4,000 feet of meeting space, swimming pool, exercise room and a restaurant.

The hotel was purchased in August 2003, as the second hotel in The Hotel Group's Opportunity Fund. The Hotel Group has also acquired properties in Brentwood, Tenn., Knoxville, Tenn., Norwalk, Conn., and Denver.
In October 2003, the hotel underwent a $4 million renovation, which included a new lobby, increased meeting space, swimming pool upgrades and the addition of Cilantro! Restaurant and Bar. The rooms were completely refurbished as well, including all soft and case goods, including pillow-top mattresses, high-speed Internet access, carpet and lighting. There is also a "Quiet Zone" on the ninth floor, which features complimentary eye masks, sleep CD, lavender oil, and night light. Two concierge level floors were added, which will be converted to Crowne Plaza Club floors, which include use of the private lounge, complimentary evening hors d'oeuvres and a fresh continental breakfast.
