Thomas List Appointed General Manager of The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida
The Colony Hotel
in Palm Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas List as
general manager. A seasoned hospitality veteran, List brings more than
30 years of expertise, leadership and passion to the iconic hotel, now
celebrating its 70th year.
In his new role, List will oversee all aspects of the hotel's
operations, including staff management, recruitment, and development,
amongst other daily operational tasks. With proven executive skills,
initiative, creativity and integrity, List's wealth of experience will
aid him in enhancing long-term strategic objectives for The Colony. He
is primed to have an enormous impact with attracting new clientele while
still catering to the many familiar faces who continue to return year
after year.

List is a third-generation hotelier, who grew up in New York City,
living and working in hotels his father managed. At age nine, he began
washing pots and pans in the hotel's main kitchen for 25 cents a pot and
continued to hold a hotel job every summer from then on. List began his
career at the Plaza Hotel in New York City and has since managed
upscale, boutique properties including The Inn at Little Washington,
VA.; Woodstock Inn and Resort, VT.; Congress and Hall Star Inn in Cape
May, NJ; and Williamsburg Inn, VA. among others.
