Almanac Hotels Appoints Jean-Paul Dantil as Vice President of Operations

Almanac Hotels is proud to announce and welcome Jean-Paul Dantil in his newly appointed role as Vice President of Operations for the Almanac Hotels group based in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Dantil brings more than 20 years of luxury hospitality experience
to his role in the company. Most recently, he was General Manager of The
Ritz Carlton Hotel in Bahrain and prior, was General Manager for their
Vienna property.

“As we look to the future, Jean-Paul has an extraordinary depth
and breadth of understanding in this business. Almanac Hotels has an
aggressive growth plan over the next five years and he will oversee the
opening or rebranding of several properties including Vienna, Prague, Budapest, and Zagreb. In Vienna, scheduled to open in 2019, he will also serve as the opening General Manager,” says Herbert Haselbacher, President and CEO of Almanac Hotels.

The culturally rich Almanac Vienna (122 rooms) is located on the Ringstrasse and features a sophisticated spa, multiple dining options and technically advanced business and meeting facilities. In addition, Parkring 14 - arguably the most prestigious residential address in Vienna - will be the first Almanac Residences to open. These 12 distinctive apartments are set within the hotel and offer owners access to all of the amenities and hotel services.

In my role as Vice President Operations, it will be my responsibility to ensure each hotel lives up to the vision of creating this experience through talent acquisition and engagement, defining and monitoring operating standards, concept creation and performance enhancement," says Dantil. “At the same time, I will be overseeing the opening of several new Almanac Hotels with a focus on Vienna where I will also be the opening General Manager. I am very much looking forward to this new role and returning to Vienna together with my family and seeing the Almanac brand grow to become a real global player in the luxury hospitality business.”

Mr. Dantil has a long career in the luxury hospitality industry. He received a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Centre International de Glion in Montreux Switzerland. In 1997 he began his career in the hotel business on the Mariana Islands for Hyatt Regency. His career track brought him to the highly regarded COMO Hotels in Parrot Cay in Turks and Caicos and The Metropolitan Hotel, Park Lane, London. Additional positions include opening Das Stue in Berlin as Managing Director and the Puro Hotel in Mallorca. Prior, in Dubai, Jean-Paul was Managing Partner of CGP - the Chris Garrod Partnership, a leading hotel procurement company with offices in London, Dubai and Hong Kong. Jean Paul is a German National and has had a multi-cultural upbringing, speaking fluent English, French and German along with basic Spanish. He will reside in Vienna with his wife and children.
