Salamander Hotels & Resorts Appoints Darin Riggio as Director of Sales and Marketing at Innisbrook, A Salamander Resort

Salamander Hotels & Resorts, the luxury hotel company founded by Sheila Johnson, has appointed Darin Riggio as Director of Sales and Marketing at Innisbrook, A Salamander Resort in Tampa Bay, Florida.

With more than a decade of hospitality leadership experience, Riggio will manage property-wide sales and marketing efforts, including developing new business and enhancing the group segment, market positioning and maximizing profitability while ensuring outstanding quality service for all guests.

One of the most iconic golf resorts in the United States, Innisbrook is located on 900 wooded acres of rolling hills in the Tampa Bay area. The resort features 72 holes of championship golf, over 300 recently renovated guest suites and rooms, four restaurants and three bars, 11 tennis courts, a Salamander Spa with 12 treatment rooms, six heated swimming pool complexes, and three conference halls with 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space. Recognized for its famed Copperhead Course, the resort annually hosts the PGA TOUR's Valspar Championship.

Before joining Innisbrook, Riggio served as Resort Sales Director at Disney Meetings & Events, where he successfully exceeded combined revenue goals for 13 resorts. He has also worked in sales and marketing leadership roles for several hotels and resorts across Florida, including Reunion Resort in Kissimmee, PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, and Hyatt Regency Coral Gables.

Riggio earned a bachelor's in hospitality management and a master's in business management from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. He is also a certified hospitality sales professional as recognized by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
