The Fifth Avenue Hotel will open its doors in October 2023, welcoming travelers and New Yorkers alike to an enchanting experience in the heart of Manhattan. Ideally located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and 28th Street, The Fifth Avenue Hotel reflects the collaboration of some of the most creative minds in design, art, gastronomy and hospitality, merging the city's heritage with its future. Pioneering a singular hospitality experience offering the highest level of luxury and service that inspires exploration, fascination, and wonder, The Fifth will chart its own course, encouraging guests to slow down and fully engage with their surroundings.
Steeped in history, The Fifth is composed of The Mansion, a historic landmark designed by stories architecture firm McKim, Mead & White, and The Tower, a striking new 24-story glass tower designed by Perkins Eastman and PBDW Architects. The site was once the home and carriage house of Ms. Charlotte Goodridge, a leading figure in Manhattan's Gilded Age society. Paying homage to the legacy and lifestyle of those who once resided on Fifth Avenue, the design of The Fifth offers a distinctly residential vision that immerses guests in an atmosphere that suggests a home away from home. The hotel's signature restaurant, Café Carmellini, will pay homage to the culinary past of New York while being firmly rooted in contemporary tastes, spear-headed by the acclaimed Chef Andrew Carmellini.
