Jackson Hole’s Iconic Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa to Re-Open in July Following A Ground-Up Transformation
Returning to its quaint and quiet corner of Jackson, Wyoming, The Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa is now taking bookings for its triumphant July 1st opening, after a devastating fire destroyed the nearly 30-year-old boutique hotel in 2019. The reopening of the award-winning, family-owned and operated property will unveil a ground-up transformation inclusive of 38 rooms and two suites, the Body Sage Spa, and the Wild Sage Restaurant and Bar which are taking reservations as early as May 1, 2024. While entirely reimagined, the building remains true to the beloved Jackson lodge aesthetic by fitting seamlessly into the surrounding towering timbers and majestic mountains and is eager to welcome back both longtime and new guests, while staying close to its roots.
"We are a new lodge with an old soul," said Brandon Harrison, General Manager of The Rusty Parrot. "Cultivating the same spirit, grit and grace of the West, we were determined to not only build back, but to also seize the opportunity to expand and elevate the understated, yet luxurious atmosphere we've long been known for. While we've honored our heritage by holding tight to our intimate scale, classic mountain style, and intuitive attention to detail, we look forward to introducing our guests to the new way we've woven in additional sophisticated amenities and modern touches."
Set just steps away from Jackson's Town Square and within easy reach of the striking landscapes and natural playground that call visitors to this valley, The Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa will now feature a more refined and thoughtfully appointed design. Newly expanded rooms include two suites, 22 King Fireplace rooms, 11 Double Queen rooms, and five King rooms. Infused with rustic Western sophistication and natural light, each room offers beautiful views, custom furniture, regionally sourced artwork, luxury finishes and linens, spa-quality bathrooms and products, along with the latest comforts and conveniences for today's traveler.
Wild Sage, the award-winning restaurant lauded by both visitors and locals, returns and has expanded to include more seating, including a patio space and a larger open kitchen- along with the tranquil Body Sage Spa, located onsite. The Rusty Parrot now also offers valet parking, a larger outdoor hot tub and secluded courtyard perfect for après ski, as well as a rooftop space for stargazing and a wildlife viewing deck overlooking the creek and butte where guests can watch for local fauna.
As the most highly acclaimed accommodations in Jackson Hole, the boutique lodge has enjoyed a legacy of excellence, yet it is the warmth and hospitality of the original 32-room Rusty Parrot that resonated in the hearts of visitors, locals, and staff alike. Relics of the old hotel will be hidden throughout the new building to pay homage to an iconic property that both charmed and made memories for so many over the years. The reopening of the Rusty Parrot continues that tradition as well as invites new guests to be a part of both this local treasure's storied past and exciting future.
