EliteMeetings.net to Launch Online Luxury Meetings Market Community

. October 14, 2008

SANTA BARBARA, CA, November 14, 2007. Elite Meetings International (EMI) announced today the November 27 launch of the new community components on EliteMeetings.net. The new blog and forum tools, designed to encourage member interaction and contribution, represent the first of many new tools that will be available on EliteMeetings.net. A full complement of new features will be unveiled in January 2008, upon completion of a newly designed version of the site.

New discussion forums on the seven-month-old site encourage the exchange of ideas in a professional environment tailored to meeting planners and luxury hoteliers. In addition to open forums, the new Elite Meetings Community will offer private discussion boards where meeting planners can discuss issues with their peers in an exclusive environment. A second private forum, available only to hoteliers, encourages a similar exchange among industry colleagues. Elsewhere in the forum, hoteliers will be able to upload information regarding new developments at their properties.

"An online social community for the top tier of the market has been needed for years," says EMI's CEO, Kelly Foy. "We're proud to be the first to launch such a tool. Our number one goal has always been to provide useful solutions to the meetings industry. We're confident these new community features will be well received by everyone who visits our site."

The new features look certain to enhance visitor loyalty to the already-popular site. Recent data on return visits to EliteMeetings.net show that 759 visitors have returned to the site at least 201 times in the last month. Another 300 have returned between 101 to 200 times each in the same period. "The quantity and quality of EliteMeetings.net members we've received in such a short period of time is unheard of," says EMI's chief information officer, Bradley Pirman. "It proves the content and tools provided on EliteMeetings.net are desperately needed in the industry."

Future plans for the site's relaunch in January include a brand-new look, intuitive search functions, helpful tutorials, and enhanced RFP tools.
