MK Names VP Los Angeles
JULY 26, 2007. Rob Koger, President of Molinaro Koger (MK), announced today that Samantha Fisher has been promoted to Vice President, Los Angeles. Ms. Fisher, who joined MK in 2003, previously directed hospitality asset analysis on the west coast for the firm.
She has been involved in more than $500 million in hotel transactions throughout the United States, working closely with clients such as The Kor Group, Tarsadia Hotels, Innkeepers USA, Marriott International, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
'Samantha's promotion to Vice President is well-deserved,' said Mr. Koger in making the announcement. 'Her combination of operational experience, personal relationships and market knowledge delivers an ideal service mix to our clients and creates a strong foundation for her work in every aspect of hotel brokerage.'
A life-long, third-generation hotelier, Ms. Fisher literally grew up in the midst of the industry. 'The irony here is that my family somewhat feel I have gone to the dark side, away from hotel operations and management,' commented Ms. Fisher. 'I was drawn to brokerage because the art of the deal strongly appeals to me. Bringing together the match of seller and buyer at optimal terms is an enormous challenge and one in which I can be very successful.
'I joined MK because they provide the highest possible level of service and commitment to clients and that was the type of firm I wanted be part of, learn from and contribute to. I am pleased to take on the role of full-time broker.'
Ms. Fisher's brokerage career is getting an active start. She is currently working to close a Hilton Hotel, a Courtyard by Marriott, a Summerfield Suite and a Residence Inn. Other recent transactions in which Ms. Fisher has been involved include Sheraton and DoubleTree hotels located in the western U.S., as well as the Summerfield Suite portfolio transaction.
Prior to joining Molinaro Koger, Ms. Fisher served as an analyst at Sunstone Hotel Investors, advising the company's acquisitions team on favorable acquisitions and dispositions in both the select and full-service sectors. Ms. Fisher's professional experience also encompasses internships as an analyst with Insignia/ESG in the Hotel Partners Group in both Chicago and New York.
