Best Western Recognizes Its Own at North American Convention

PHOENIX, AZ, October 12, 2006. Best Western, the World's Largest Hotel Chain(R), recently recognized nearly five dozen hotels across North America that embody the finest achievements in hospitality. The Best of the Best and Champion awards were announced at Best Western's Annual North American Convention in Grapevine, Texas. The hotels were honored with the awards in front of more than 2,000 industry peers.

The Best of the Best and Champion awards formally recognize Best Western hoteliers that demonstrate excellence in class and service in Quality, Customer Care, Design, Public Relations and Gold Crown Club International (GCCI), Best Western's loyalty program. Hotels must adhere to strict eligibility criteria for each award along with design, customer care and other membership requirements, to qualify. The program is open to all 2,400 Best Western hotels in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean.

"The Best of the Best and Champion awards recognize our leading North American properties," said Ray Johnston, chairman of Best Western's Board of Directors.
