Hilton Los Cabos Undergoes Complete Remodeling

Entering Luxury Market

. October 14, 2008

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, October 13, 2006. Now under the ownership of Beny Alagem, owner of the Beverly Hilton, the property undergoes a complete remodeling of guest rooms and outdoor areas. With a fashionably posh appeal, the Hilton Los Cabos is laying the groundwork to create and fill a niche in the luxury travel market.

The new richly styled guestrooms are the creation of renowned designer, Paul Duesing of Paul Duesing Partners, specialists in lifestyle design for high-end hotel properties. Best known for his cutting-edge design of the One & Only Palmilla in Los Cabos and The Palms in Turks & Caicos, Duesing's work has been rated #1 by Conde Nast magazine and profiled in the Architectural Digest for taking design a step beyond the ordinary.

Partnering with Duesing is David Thompson, legendary for his astonishing approach to water bodies and landscape masterpieces. Thompson's design will enhance guests' sense of arrival as they are greeted by plush gardens and fountains, immediately creating the sense of an oasis in the desert.

The redesign features special finishes by local artisans. The variety of textures enhances the sensuality of the experience; glowing painted plaster walls and antiqued hardwoods at the entry doors and cabinetry garnish each room with an air of simplicity and grace. Complimenting the hotel's Mediterranean architectural backdrop, the furniture embodies the dramatic tradition of Spanish heritage, showing its form in deeply stained, carved headboards, distressed armoires, and unique decorative accessories. Fabrics are heavily embroidered, colorfully striped, and lightly fringed; and provide a casual flair to balance and contrast the more-traditional Spanish design. Marble baths are highlighted by colorful hand-painted sinks and coordinating ceramic bath amenities. Italian-made Mascioni 100% Egyptian cotton linens and flat screen televisions add to the overall appeal.

The Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort has set the standard for hospitality in Baja California and is this year's winner of the prestigious "Connie Award" for best overall performance among the Hilton Hotels Corporation Resort Division. The resort features 375 guest rooms and suites offering spectacular views of the Sea of Cortes, four ocean view restaurants, two swimming pools, draped beach front palapas and a full service spa and fitness center.
