Renovations Transform Atlanta's Wyndham Hotel and Baymont Inn
MAY 14, 2008. Crescent Hotels & Resorts, manager of the 211-room Wyndham Garden Hotel Atlanta Downtown and adjacent 242-room Baymont Inn & Suites Atlanta Downtown, today announced completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation of those hotels.
The renovation transformed the Wyndham Garden Hotel into an upscale, full-service hotel with guest room decors reflecting Wyndham signature designs by Michael Graves & Associates, a widely known architecture and design firm based in Princeton, N.J.
Every guest room has been equipped with Wyndham's signature Be Well bedding, coffeemakers, alarm clock radios with mp3/iPodTM adapters, energy-saving lighting and the Wyndham Smart Chair, a functional lounge chair with built-in power, Internet outlets and pivoting table arms, all designed by Graves. Guest bathrooms now are stocked with the brand's signature Bath & Body Works(R) True Blue(R) Spa bath care line.
The hotel now features the Wyndham brand's new caf'e concept named "Eat. Refresh. Live." The combination barista and food mart with Internet pods transforms from a coffee bar with breakfast and lunch service during the day to a cocktail bar with casual dining in the evening.
"We listened when our guests told us they wanted a functional, smart spaces for work and relaxation," said Dominic Vitale, hotel general manager. "Our new guest rooms offer a renewed guest experience, from the plush beds all the way down to the designer alarm clocks."
The Wyndham Garden Atlanta Hotel offers event space with on-site catering to energize meetings and events, seasonal pool, Jacuzzi and fitness facility. All rooms feature complimentary high-speed wireless Internet service.
Renovations at the adjacent Baymont Inn & Suites at 175 Piedmont Ave. include upgraded guest rooms and suites and the installation of new bedding, carpet, draperies and granite counter tops in bathrooms.
The hotel offers complimentary continental breakfast, high-speed wireless Internet, complimentary local calls and long-distance access. Hotel features include event space with on-site catering, a fitness center, seasonal pool with Jacuzzi and business center.
Crescent Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Fairfax, Va., manages the hotels on behalf of CW Capital Asset Management and Piedmont Holdings, the owners.
