WASHINGTON, DC, June 13, 2008. The Sheraton National Hotel, the premier gateway hotel of Washington, DC, is currently undergoing an extravagant $10 million renovation. Scheduled for completion in the fall of 2008, guestrooms and common spaces will feature a fresh new look as well as a variety of upgraded and new amenities to enhance guests' comfort and pleasure.

"This renovation will enhance the sense of belonging, warmth and community throughout the hotel," says General Manager Paul Giovanini. "We are looking to unveil the new face of the Sheraton National Hotel by the end of the year."

Renovation of common space areas, including the lobby and meeting rooms, is already complete. Meeting room renovations include new air walls, wireless Internet, a Cyber Caf'e and new state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment. Common space renovations also include an upgraded fitness center with all new Lifecycle exercise equipment, a refurbished swimming facility and a re-designed restaurant.

Inspired by nature, the new lobby area is designed to welcome guests into a world of relaxation and personal connection. Lobby renovation features include:

---|- A "Communal Table" in the center of the lobby area that allows several groups of guests to work independently of one another within the same space

---|- New sensory elements, including "open air" scent, music, and lighting

---|- All new carpeting, wall coverings, drapes and furnishings.

Guest room renovation is scheduled to be complete by Jan 1, 2009. The $6.5 million upgrade will feature new designs and enhanced amenities to re-energize guests.
